Incorporated in 1975, The Arc of Walker is a health care services organization that offers day rehabilitative and supervised living services for adults and children with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities. It offers case management, personal care and independent living services. The organization also provides training for self-care, daily living skills, and receptive and expressive language learning. It offers mental health diagnosis and behavioral modification services, as well as assistance with meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry and shopping for senior citizens. The Arc of Walker also provides a supported employment program that puts an emphasis on job search, analysis, assessment and coaching. Additionally, it offers a range of early intervention programs that focuses on physical, occupational and speech therapies and training for usage of assistive technologies for children up to three years of age.
