Wayne Davis Construction was founded in 1977 by Wayne Davis. Based on strong moral and ethical values, we have been committed to providing quality construction at a reasonable price. We believe each customer deserves the best product and performance possible. Our company has experience in a wide range of construction projects. Projects have included conventional construction and pre-engineered metal buildings for businesses, municipalities, and churches, plant maintenance, commercial renovation, and unique projects to meet the special needs of our customers. Over the years Wayne Davis Construction has developed a working relationship with subcontractors and vendors who share our commitment to satisfaction and achievement of excellence in construction. It is to this joint commitment that we attribute our long history of success in the building industry. Graduated from Montevallo High School in 1994. He went on to graduate from the University of Montevallo in 1998. Married his wife Kelli in 1999 and has two daughters Graci ( 8 ) and Bradli ( 4 ). In 1977 after working for several years in the construction industry, Wayne Davis realized his goal of owning a construction business with the purchase of an existing construction company. A short time later the name was changed to Wayne Davis Construction, and thus began the legacy which has continued for over thirty years. Wayne had a passion for building and working with people. He strived to produce a quality product for his customers at a fair price. Customer satisfaction was an integral part of his business and the main reason for its longevity. The business was important to Wayne, but his faith and his family were more important. He incorporated his talent for building and service by leading several building projects for Montevallo First Baptist Church. While serving as a deacon for many years, he served as Chairman of the Building Committee and worked on mission projects that utilized his skill as a builder. Wayne also thought he should use his business to help other churches complete projects, and so he worked with several churches in the area. Serving as a Little League coach for the teams of sons, Todd and Brad, Wayne not only was able to spend time with them, but also touch the lives of many other young men. He always emphasized integrity, sportsmanship, and giving your best. As his sons reached high school, he was president of the Athletic Booster Club for Montevallo High School. Wayne considered service as a privilege. He helped establish Shelco, the first rescue service in Shelby County. Working with Shelco, he assisted with rescue and fire calls for many years. Later Wayne served on the Zoning Board for the City of Montevallo. He cared for the city and wanted to see it grow. On January 24, 2006, Wayne lost his hard-fought battle with cancer. He would be so proud that through his sons, Brad and Todd, Wayne Davis Construction ( WDC ) continues to uphold the principles that guided his personal and professional life.
