History
After residency I began a clinical practice nearby, eventually assuming the practice of Dr. Leonard Bernstein, with whom I practiced for the next 10 years. In the office I see patients with the usual adult medical problems such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and diseases of the skin and joints. My major interests include weight management, physical fitness, quality sleep without medications, graceful aging, and avoidance of falls. I pride myself on providing longer appointment times and a greater degree of physician-patient contact time. I am a member of the teaching faculty at Scripps Mercy Hospital and University of California, San Diego. I enjoy Expert Witness work immensely and provide Concierge services to a small subpopulation of my clients. I also perform Internal Medicine consultations for new patients in our Behavioral Health Unit at Scripps Mercy Hospital.
