Beverly Hills Sports Council is a heavyweight boutique sports agency that represents professional baseball players. The company is headed by Dan Lozano, whose partners include Jeff Borris, Danny Horowits and Rick Thurman.
Lozano, a former USC infielder, started as an intern with Beverly Hills Sports Council. The agency was founded by major league all-star Jose Canseco, and in 1996 Lozano became a partner in the firm.
As an intern at Beverly Hills Sports Council he signed his first major league client in 1991. A year later Lozano really established himself as an agent by signing with future-hall-of-famer and Dodger star catcher Mike Piazza. Lozano then went to work and got Piazza several endorsement deals with major corporate patrons.
The Beverly Hills Sports Council has represented many talented players, including Curt Shilling, J.T. Snow and several young players who have either won rookie of the year or gold glove awards.
