Established in 1929, Long Beach Public Library offers more than 40,000 books. The library maintains a presence in Long Beach, Calif. It operates family learning centers that provide assistance to students in completing assignments. Long Beach Public Library also offers a variety of books, magazines, newspapers, reference materials and databases. The library conducts children and services learning programs, as well as Internet access. In addition, it provides services for physically challenged individuals. Long Beach Public Library operates a teenagers program that provides career guidance and assists with homework.
