The Delaware Department of Education is administered by the state government of Delaware. It operates through the office of the secretary of education, administration and innovation branch, and curriculum, instructional support, and finance and services divisions. The department coordinates a variety of career and adult education programs. It operates the Delaware Center for Educational Technology and the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association. The Delaware Department of Education governs the Appoquinimink School District, Brandywine School District, Caesar Rodney School District, Capital School District and Christina School District. The department's school districts provide adult basic and education services. In addition, it administers the Academy of Dover Charter School, Delaware Military Academy, East Side Charter School and MOT Charter School.
