History
Camp Bob Waldorf is owned and operated by Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles. Founded in 1938 , our facility is located just 15 miles from Downtown LA, sprawling over 112 acres in the spectacular Verdugo Mountains in Glendale, California. Through our residential summer camp, weekend retreats, backpacking trips, college guidance and scholarship programs, and mentorship services, we provide over 1,500 children each year with the role models, community, and support system necessary for success as they progress from elementary school into college.
Specialties
Camp Bob Waldorf is a residential camp for campers currently in 3rd-11th grade that fosters growth and development in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. Camp serves low-income families with the goal of providing campers with enriching activities during the summer. Our program is built upon four core pillars (values): Inclusion, Community, Identity, and Respect. Campers live out these values through their daily interactions with other campers, learning new skills, and making lasting memories.
