History
Part of the City of Walnut Creek's Arts and Recreation Department, Center for Community Arts (formerly Civic Arts Education) serves the entire Diablo region. Begun in 1964, Center for Community Arts celebrated 50 years in our community in 2014. This important milestone highlighted the immense reach Center for Community Arts instructors and programs have had on generations of area residents. We are proud of our rich history providing arts education to better the lives our students. Center for Community Arts was formerly named Civic Arts Education.
