A college workshop with 82 parents and students at Albany High School (the most that AHS has ever had at an event like this)

As a way of giving back to my community, I give free college workshops to local highschools, like this one I did for Albany High School.

Workshop entitled "How to get into a great college and get out with as little debt as possible!" meant for junior students and their parents

I focus on making your child shine in the five key areas that college admissions want.

History

In 1993, when I was writing a book, a friend asked me to help her son with his college essay for UCLA. I discovered I loved doing it, got along well with him, and got him into UCLA with a scholarship. Before I realized it, I had a line of teenagers and their parents out my door asking for help. I have never looked back. And for the past 18 years I have been a college coach, helping hundreds of students get into the finest colleges in the United States and Canada.
