Specialties
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons receive extended training in their specialty, earning a four-year graduate degree and completing at least four years of residency. This area of expertise covers surgery and treatment of diseases, injuries and deformities of the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region (head, face, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws and neck.) Wisdom tooth extraction is probably the most common OMS procedure; however, oral surgeons treat a variety of conditions, from repairing facial trauma to oral cancer detection and removal to replacing missing teeth with dental implants. Dr. Cline-Fortunato is highly experienced in all aspects or oral and maxillofacial surgery. The scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery is expanding. New techniques are being discovered and established procedures are being modified. Our practice is committed to staying on the leading edge of our speciality.
