Founded in 2002, the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council's objective is to advocate on behalf of Highland Park residents to the Los Angeles City Council. The neighborhood council holds bi-monthly meetings at the Highland Park Senior Center on 6152 N. Figueroa St. The board oversees issues related to land use, city services, education, public safety, the arts and others that are of importance to neighborhood residents.
Members are elected by neighborhood officials and residents are free to run for seats on the council.
