History
After graduating from FIDM in Los Angeles back in 2003, Jarred worked as an intern for acclaimed designer Jeremy Scott, and then became a young design assistant to Joseph Walker. He has since fostered a very diverse set of skills via a broad spectrum of artistic endeavors including: establishing a wholesale clothing line (Ric Rac Clothing Company), two different retail stores (Ric Rac in Pasadena and Archetype in San Francisco). Jarred has made costumes for Disney and Teatro Zin Zanni, and has worked on various art projects from Drag performers to Acrobats. Working with private clients in making ready to wear clothing, to couture-level dressmaking for bridal, costumes and soft goods design. Jarred has produced fashion shows, hosted events, and has had a helping hand in collaboration with many other designers and start-up companies. Currently he is an Instructor at California College of the Arts, is a design consultant and works as creative coordinator for various fashion companies.
Specialties
I am a freelance fashion designer, specializing in made to order clothing for men and women, costumes, bridal and special occasion clothing. I am available for professional pattern making, sample making and production services for beginning designers and new labels. If you are a student looking to learn how to make clothing for yourself or professionally, I am available for private lessons as well. I do not do basic alterations, I am categorized under alterations and sewing due to the lack of categories available for my services.
