Established in 1925, Laguna Beach County Water District provides water and related services to a large number of residential as well as commercial clients. It has a special engineering department, which provides various development and cross connection services. The district has undertaken several capital projects, such as the San Joaquin Reservoir Solar Bee Installation, Reservoir Chlorinator Units and meter replacements. It sells approximately 4,500 acre feet of water annually, which is imported either from the Colorado River or from Northern California. The District provides water services to 25,000 people within an 8.5 square mile area of Southern Orange County, including portions of the city of Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove State Park and Emerald Bay. Laguna Beach County Water District s engineering department offers capital projects, development services, cross connection and backflow.
