Loyola Marymount University is a Catholic university that offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees with a strong emphasis on liberal arts. It offers more than 80 majors and programs in four colleges Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts, College of Business Administration, College and Communication and Fine Arts, and College of Science and Engineering and two schools School of Education and School of Film and Television. The university enrolls more than 8,000 students each year and maintains a variety of NCAA-affiliated athletic programs, including swimming, water polo, rowing and softball. Loyola Marymount was founded in 1911 and is the only Jesuit and Marymount Catholic university in Los Angeles, Calif.
