An upscale deli with higher-end Italian imports, Mangia E Bevi opened in early 2010 in the Tresch Triangle shopping center just off South Novato Boulevard. Already, it is attracting a solid following for its gourmet sandwiches. Selecting fresh ingredients including focaccia, mozzarella and luchese, it offers a fusion of eclectic, old world Italian scents. The sandwich sizes are generously portioned and even lunch will leave most diners with leftovers. Sandwiches are served in the true Italian tradition, which means they don't have much in the way of vegetables. Diners looking for a traditional BLT need not apply. This is a meat-lovers paradise.
