Mission Viejo High School serves students from grades nine through 12 and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It operates through several departments, including science, math, English, social studies, fine arts, performing arts and business and technical education. It also offers advanced-placement and honors courses in German, French, Spanish, chemistry, European history, calculus, biology, economics and psychology. Additionally, the school offers a wide variety of extra-curricular programs, including instrumental and choral music, drama, musical productions, color guard, pep squad and the National Honor Society. It also sponsors a broad program in interscholastic and intramural sports. Located in Mission Viejo, Calif., the school has a library with more than 40 computers and over 28,000 books. The school also offers an International Baccalaureate diploma program that is recognized for admission and advanced studies throughout the world.
