Established in 1972, the Native American Health Center is a medical care organization that serves the health-related needs of American-Indians and Alaskan Natives throughout the United States. It offers a range of community health care and prevention services, including dental care, family guidance counseling and HIV prevention. The Native American Health Center provides primary clinical care, AIDS treatment, and substance abuse awareness and prevention services. It also offers nutritional counseling, fitness analysis, and women, infants and children's health evaluation services. The organization also operates the Healthy Nations Wellness Center and a school-based health clinic in Alameda, Calif. Additionally, it provides confidential HIV testing, case management and referral services. The Native American Health Center maintains a location in San Francisco.
