The Palisades Branch Library of the Los Angeles Public Library provides a place for research, study, community programs and access to the full catalog of the Los Angeles Public Library. Electronic resources, including Internet use and word processing, are also available at computer workstations that can be checked out. Along with children's story times, programs offered at the library include lectures, author visits, book sales, film screenings and local book clubs. Friends of the Pacific Palisades Branch Library is a separate group that also organizes programs and activities at the library. Since its founding, the Pacific Palisades Branch Library has had several locations, with its present location established in 1963.
