Since the late 1980s, Piatti Restaurant Company has served locally grown food prepared by chefs who value healthy and organic food. The company s menu features several items that were inspired by traditional Italian cuisine. Piatti serves signature gourmet dipping oil, rather than butter, for its bread. While the company s main revenue source is its restaurants, it has developed a retail version of its dipping oil in a custom-designed, imported Italian bottle. The company also sells gift cards. While the company is headquartered in Mill Valley, Calif., it also has reastaurants in San Antonio, Denver, Seattle, and the California cities of Carmel, Santa Clara, Thousand Oaks, Montecito, La Jolla, Danville and Sacramento.
