Owner and principal craftsman John Petricka has been creating fine custom cabinetry for nearly 40 years and doens't plan to stop any time soon. The shop itself is tucked away in the middle of downtown Sonoma at the end of the loop of Church Street (just keep going and look for it on your right when you end up in a parking lot). It is also visible and accessible from West Napa Street.
From kitchen cabinets to bars and barbacks, bookcases and grandfather clocks, John can make just about anything, and has made just about everything. He works in all kinds of wood, but says that walnut and maple seem to be popular at present. Plaza Cabinetry services clients from Hillsboro to Ukiah, including the entire Bay Area. Not only a cabinet maker, John is also a small-scale vintner, a father and husband, a collector of classic Cadillacs, and an enthusiastically generous and active member of the Sonoma community.
