Private Island Trax is a full service sound mixing and audio recording studio run by audio engineer and musician Michael McDonald. The studio opened in 1982 and has since worked on hundreds of albums, TV shows and films. Private Island Trax is located inside of a converted brick home and is surrounded by a stone wall with a wrought iron gate. Inside the lobby the first thing you notice is an impressive display of gold and platinum records by such artists as Patti LaBelle, Melissa Manchester and Ray Charles to name a few. Private Island Trax has 2 state of the art studios, Studio A is for audio recording and features a 24 track Digi Design mixing console, Auto Tune, Pro Tools and more. Studio B is primarily for TV and film sound mixing and mastering. TV and Film projects include The Patriot, The Academy of Country Music Awards, and The Naked Brothers Band on Nickelodeon.
