About Prosthetic Solutions Prosthetic Solutions Inc was founded in 2001 by Wade Skardoutos, an ABC/BOC Certified Prosthetist ( CP ), in Hollister and Mountain View, CA. The family tradition of Prosthetic Care was handed down to Wade by his grandfather, Wade T. Hampton, and Mr. Skardoutos' passion for helping amputees spurred him to continue on with his grandfather's tradition by opening a family prosthetics business. As a result, Wade started Prosthetic Solutions, a medical facility with certified prosthetists ( according to the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc ) that measures, designs, fabricates, fits or services prosthetics as prescribed by a licensed physician, as well as assisting in the formulation of the prosthesis prescription for the replacement of external parts of the human body lost due to amputation or congenital deformities or absences. Company Goal Prosthetic Solutions' goal is to improve the lives of amputees by giving them the chance to participate in an active life style with a state of the art prosthesis. We strive for the highest standard of patient care by providing a team approach to their rehabilitation. We believe that the more involved the patient's doctor, physical therapist and family become, the more successful the person becomes. Board Certified Prosthetist and the President of Prosthetic Solutions Inc, Mr. Skardoutos has 23 years experience in all aspects of upper and lower extremity prosthetics. He also attended an extensive resident program through Wright and Filippis, Inc from 1990-1999. Additionally, Mr. Skardoutos has attended the Northwestern University Prosthetic Exam prep program. Mr. Skardoutos lead technical specialist CAD/CAM prosthetics at Henry Ford Hospital, Rehab Institute of Michigan. Mr. Skardoutos was certified in prosthetics in 1995 by the Board of Certification/Accreditation International in Prosthetics as well as the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics. His numerous prosthetic and orthotic certifications include: C-leg Certified Rheo knee, Certified Dynamic Arm, and I-Limb myo electric prosthetics. Lastly, Mr. Skardoutos is an associate member of the American Academy of Orthotist & Prosthetists and a member of the Amputee Coalition of America. Ms. Stenman has been American Board Certified since 1998 and she is experienced in both research and clinical settings. Ms. Stenman also holds a masters degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. While at Northwestern's Center for Orthotics and Prosthetics, Ms. Stenman conducted research on the differences in gait between able-bodied persons and amputees in order to improve care protocols for the amputee community. Ms. Stenman is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and is certified in the use of the C-leg and the Rheo knee.
