History
Erica Schweyer was introduced to tennis when she was just 3 years old by her Father and Tennis Professional Lloyd Schweyer. Lloyd has been teaching tennis at Manhattan Country Club for over 35 years to players of all ages and levels. In between lessons, or after his last lesson of the day, he consistently made time to work with Erica on the tennis court. He built Erica's tennis game from the ground up and taught her technique, footwork, discipline, and mental toughness. Erica had a successful playing career with highlights being ranked 4th in the nation and playing Division 1 tennis for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Erica is now following in her Father's footsteps making the transition from player to coach. In 2014, after 8 years of coaching she created the business Redondo Beach Tennis which is steadily growing. It is the best feeling when a player achieves something on the court and their eyes light up! What a gift to be able to share tennis knowledge with others!
