Sierra Forever Families is a private non-profit organization that focuses on finding homes for foster children who are considered "difficult to place" because of histories of abuse, neglect, abandonment or delays in the foster system.
The organization does this by providing several different programs: foster care for children and youth who have plans to reunite with birth families; recruiting, training and supporting families who want to adopt; mentoring programs for children ages 6 - 12; and by creating lifelong family connections for area youth in foster care.
Since its inception, Sierra Forever Families has found homes for more than 2,500 children.
