History
I began training clients almost 25 years ago. Initially I was working as a Certified Athletic Trainer and teaching college courses in sports medicine while training private clients. In the late 90's I switched roles to emphasize the fitness elements. Over the next decade I also developed and oversaw a number of commercial training/fitness operations, specializing in developing personal training programs. In 2004 I began my own personal training company. Shortly after I stopped working for other entities and focused on Sky Fitness. My training has always strongly pulled on my rehabilitation/sports medicine back ground and my interest in the science behind what we do in the gym. It's easy to write a program, teach a few exercises and make something feel difficult. Understanding how to deal with individual injuries, issues and goals that clients have is a different matter and why my clients have chosen to work with me and continued to for such long periods of time.
