Allconnected
Our story began over a decade ago in the year 1993. Back then, we were known as Integrated Computer Systems, or ICS. ICS was founded by our current President, Alan McDonald. We were primarily involved with supporting a few more than 10 healthcare facilities, some accounting offices, media companies, and other businesses built primarily on Novell NetWare. Microsoft NT wasn't popular. Cisco wasn't the network leader they are today. The closest dial-up Internet connection was in Berkeley. Configuring a simple SMTP server took days. Our business began to grow by word of mouth and referrals from our customers, and to this day, a large portion of our growth stems from referrals from our existing clients. While the Internet was viewed as largely unnecessary at first, as we continued to grow, connectivity became more and more critical in the workplace. By 1998, the decision was made to change our name to AllConnected. Our new name better fit the services that our company would provide to our clients. It was about this time that Richard Pressler, who is now the VP of technical services at AllConnected, joined the company. Today, we continue to use Information Technology to better connect your business to your clients and to connect your employees to necessary information and resources. Aside from supporting small and medium sized businesses dependent upon IT, one of our unique focus areas is K-12 education. We began supporting a few school districts back in 1993 and now work regularly with many districts in our area. We love technology, and this is an important factor in keeping abreast of new and changing trends in our industry. Our interest in technology isn't just limited to servers, switches and firewalls. If you are one of our clients already, it's likely that you've seen one of us in our CONEKT Honda Hybrid Insight cars, still the worlds most fuel-efficient vehicle as of 2007 ( 83.2 MPG from Simi Valley to Long Beach is our current record so far ). Our engineers maintain home labs to work with new technology. Our training programs ensure that our engineers constantly keep abreast of how technology can help our client's businesses.
