History
My wife, Teresa Claborn, had worked for her sister and brother-in-law who owned the Iron Horse Restaurants. In 1994 we went in partnership to create The Little Red Caboose Cafe which was located at Bullard and Minnewawa in Clovis. By 1995 we had taken the business over fully and we shortened the name to The Red Caboose Cafe. During those early years, as with many new businesses, long hours were put in with our son and daughter at our side. Our daughter, Pamela, is still with us today. It was a struggle in the beginning, but with the help of our staff and dedicated customers we were able to make it though those early years. After 15 years, in 2009, we moved to our current location at Shaw and Academy, which is still in Clovis. A large part of our clientele followed us to our new location and are still traveling to see us today. Along with the help of our dedicated staff, original clientele and the community itself, we have been able to create a new home for us.
