The congregation here is as diverse as Davis itself, including persons of many faiths. Athiests and agnostics are welcome at this most liberal of Davis's religious institutions. Various committees--"Peace and Justice" (Social justice and civil rights causes) and "Green Sanctuary" (environmental issues) among many others-- have long been deeply involved in the Davis community and around the world.
Worship and other services such as Buddhist meditation are occasionally held outdoors. Services include singing hymns that could sound vaguely Christian but do not promote any Christian doctrine. Sermons are not drawn from the Bible.
