Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services provides specialized services and therapeutic treatment to generations of Southern California children. It offers a range of social and psychological services, including psychiatric residential treatment, day treatment, individual and family counseling, medical and dental services provided on site by doctors and registered nurses, community treatment units, educational and vocational services, foster care and complete adoption services. Founded in 1908, Vista works primarily with victims of child abuse, neglect, abandonment, domestic violence and family dysfunction. Its campus is located on 17 acres in West Los Angeles, Calif. It includes three residential units with private bedrooms, lounges and kitchens. Other facilities include an on-grounds school encompassing grades two through 12, a chapel/synagogue, cafeteria, children's library and vocational workshops. Recreational facilities include a multi-purpose athletic field, indoor Olympic-sized swimming pool, courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis and paddle tennis, a gymnasium, game and recreation rooms and a theatrical stage.
