Founded in 1920, Western Christian Schools operates a preschool, an elementary school and a junior school. The school uses a Zoo-phonics and Christian-based preschool curriculum for each classroom. Zoo-phonics is a curriculum-based reading and spelling program that teaches children the fundamentals of the English language. Its academic curriculum includes English, language arts, math, science, social studies and religious studies. Additionally, the school offers a range of subjects, such as geography, Bible studies, American history and computer applications for students in grades six through eight. Western Christian Schools offers a variety of sports activities, such as football, basketball, cross country, soccer, volleyball and wrestling.
