The Urban Services YMCA is comprised of the Eastlake YMCA, the M. Robinson Baker YMCA and the YMCA Teen Center. It conducts health and wellness, youth development and cultural arts programs at three YMCA centers and nearly seven school campuses. The organization offers yoga and aerobics classes to improve physical fitness and mental health of adolescents. The Urban Services YMCA additionally organizes workshops for youths in the areas of drugs and alcohol and anger management. It provides tutoring and homework assistance to students. The organization offers opportunities to participate in arts and crafts projects. In addition, the Urban Services YMCA offers a variety of sports programs that include baseball, basketball, football, tae kwan do, and track and field. The organization is located in Oakland, Calif., and is owned and operated by the YMCA of the East Bay.
