We are a family operated business that officially opened our doors in Castro Valley in February 2015.

ZMATA is a martial arts training academy primarily focused on the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, known as the gentle art that teaches a smaller person how to defend himself against a larger adversary by using leverage and proper technique. We offer several different classes for all ages (4 years old and above) with all skill levels (beginner to advanced) teaching the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Best kids program in the Bay Area and known as one of the top kids competition teams in the world. Not only do we provide you with ultimate self defense skills but we also offer Judo, Wresting, and Krav Maga.
