History
On April 10, 2017, the Chanda Center for Health opened its doors, ushering in a completely new and innovative model of health care for people with long-term physical disabilities. The need for therapeutic, accessible health center grew from needs identified by the population served by the Chanda Plan Foundation. The Chanda Plan Foundation previously served the Denver-Metro area through its Location-Based Services program, a program focused solely on integrative therapies. After years of serving persons with physical disabilities local to the Denver area, the Chanda Plan Foundation identified additional needs for this population through surveys and research. It became apparent that participants were eager to have disability-competent services including counseling, primary care, and care coordination in addition to the existing integrative therapies. After just two years of planning and a rigorous capital campaign, the Chanda Center for Health opened its doors to meet these needs.
