Robert Forto and his wife Michele moved to Denver, CO in 2006 and opened Denver Dog Works. The Forto's have been involved in canine training for 19 years. Robert Forto is a professional musher training for his first Iditarod and Michele works extensively with clients in need of a service dog. Robert Forto began training dogs in the parks of Portland OR, in 1990 for families that were interested in having a well trained family pet. He developed a program that is very similar to the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Program. in 2002 Michele Forto developed a service dog training program for children and adults with a variety of disabilities. Robert Forto works extensively in canine aggression and his award winning techniques attract clients form all over North America. As of August 2010 Robert has been in Alaska training for long distance mushing and MIchele and their son, Kyle (19 years old) have taken over the day to day operation of Denver Dog Works.
