History
1979: The Board of Douglas County Commissioners approves Planned Community District Zoning for the property, and Mission Viejo Company purchases the property. 1980: Construction of the first phase of Highlands Ranch begins. 1981: The first families move into new homes in Highlands Ranch. Today the population is over 90,000.

Westridge is one of the four state-of-the-art recreation facilities, managed by Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA). Amenities unique to this facility, include a bicycle studio, indoor turf, and batting cages. HRCA is a nationally award-winning nonprofit organization for 30,983 home owners in Highlands Ranch. All home owners and their guests have access to the four HRCA recreation centers and the Backcountry Wilderness Area.
