Xanterra Parks & Resorts is among the United States' largest park-management companies. Its operations span the United States, from the subtropical swamplands of the Everglades to the desert of Death Valley. National park operations include Bryce Canyon National Park, Crater Lake National Park, Stovepipe Wells, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Petrified Forest National Park and Yellowstone National Park. The company s history of hospitality began in the late 1800s with the Fred Harvey Company. Amfac Parks & Resorts purchased the company in 1968. In 1988, Northbrook Corporation acquired Amfac. Following the acquisition of TW Recreational Services in 1995, the company relocated to the Denver area. In 2002, it was renamed Xanterra Parks & Resorts. The company s corporate offices are located in Greenwood Village, Colo.
