Founded in 1966, Connecticut Conference of Municipalities is a statewide association of towns and cities in Connecticut. It has a group of more than 140 members and represents municipalities at the general assembly, regulatory agencies and courts. The conference provides management and technical assistance, training, policy development, research and analysis,as well as information on various publications and a range of individualized inquiry services to member cities and towns. It also offers several service programs, such as workers compensation, energy cost containment and revenue collection assistance. Additionally, Connecticut Conference of Municipalities provides federal representation in conjunction with the National League of Cities. With headquarters in New Haven, Conn., the conference also features a service program, the Connecticut Interlock Risk Management Agency, which provides risk management services.
