Guardian Ad Litem Services is a non-profit organization that provides services to individuals who are ill. If a person is incapable of making his or her own decisions, then a guardian is instituted so that he or she may be able to conduct daily activities. According to the organization's website, its mission is to "monitor, coordinate and navigate persons in need through various social services systems, in order to ensure that they have access to quality health care and appropriate services that are available to them in the community."
The organization's main program is the Melissa's Project, which provides assistance to individuals who are recovering from mental health problems.
It acts as a liaison for individuals between the firm and the various systems in which the individual is involved (e.g., the court system, mental health service providers, community support, hospitals, etc.).
The facility is located in suite 202 of The John Page building, on Church St. in Naugatuck. To contact Guardian Ad Litem Services write to info@guardianadlitemsvcs.org.
