Huntington United Methodist Church is located along one of Shelton's most scenic stretches of road on Walnut Tree Hill. The large white church, with its welcoming double red doors, was founded in 1967. Led by Rev. Timothy B. Hare, this church holds worship services at 8:30am and 10am on Sundays. Small group prayer meetings are also held during the month at the homes of different parishoners. The church, which boasts a "sense of community," also holds Sunday School for children at 10am on Sundays and offers adult and children's choir too. Susanna Wesley Nursery School is also housed on the same property.
