Across from the Avon Theater sits John Latham park, a large swatch of green in the heart of downtown. The park includes bronze art of two women talking and a sculpture of a little girl sitting on a bench. The tables located along the east side of the park are perfect for picnicking or chess games. Many local employees enjoy this park as an area for an outdoor lunch on nice days.

It's a nice, small park. I actually like to sit on the benches early evening. Unfortunately, as the bars let out is when strange characters congregate there. It's loud & goes on pretty late!

Theres people camping in the park without a permit. Most of the park is taken up by these campers and garbage is piling up. Not a very welcoming atmosphere.

Daskman Park

Daskam Park is a quiet little park located near the intersection of Glenbook Road and Daskam Place on the city's east side. The area is perfect for a midday break or a late-day stroll and features park benches, tall trees and a grassy field.
