EASTCONN was created in 1980 under Connecticut General Statute 10-66a. EASTCONN exists to provide high-quality, competitively priced educational and related services to 36 member Boards of Education and 33 communities they serve in northeastern Connecticut. Governed by the Board of Directors, who are members of locally elected Boards of Education. EASTCONN offers three different options for adults, 17 and older, who are seeking a high school credential: the GED diploma; the Adult High School Credit Diploma program; and the National External Diploma program.
