Levine School of Music, founded in 1976, is a nonprofit community school and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. It is also certified by the National Guild of Community Schools of Arts. The school employs more than 150 faculty-artists and serves over 3,700 children, youth and adults. Located in Washington, D.C., the school also has campuses in Maryland and Virginia in the United States. Its curriculum includes private and group instruction in early childhood music, Suzuki, music theory, composition, music technology, jazz, chamber music, opera and musical theater. Levine School of Music also offers student ensembles, summer programs, community sings, faculty concerts, student recitals and master classes from renowned musicians. Additionally, it provides a graduate-level certificate program in flute and guitar. It also offers undergraduate instruction in more than 20 instruments.
