HistoryConcerned Black Men - National Organization (CBM) has been providing providing youth development and social services programs to African American children and their families from disadvantaged communities nationwide. Through the work of a nationwide network of affiliate chapters located in 33 U.S. cities, and in Pretoria, South Africa, and an experienced and credentialed staff located in Washington, DC, CBM conducts programs and projects to support youth and strengthen their families. A male services organization that proudly wears its grass roots heritage, CBM was founded in 1975 when several Philadelphia police officers sponsored social events for kids at-risk to gang violence.
