The National Theatre -- "The Theatre of Presidents" -- has operated at the same location three blocks from The White House since 1835. The mission of National Theatre Corporation is to keep this historic National Theatre operating, with top-quality live stage attractions. Additionally, through our outreach efforts, we bring free programs and other services to the public. Our achievements would, of course, be impossible without the loyal and robust efforts of our trustees and staff or the dedicated and professional management of the Shubert Organization.
