History
Urban Athletic Club (formerly Roam Fitness) opened in 2013 to serve the needs for clients who wanted a fun and challenging place to train in a great environment of dedicated trainers. We also wanted to create an incubator for trainers. We created programs like OutRun (a cross between boot camp and run club), RowCon (spin class meets rowing), and ProFuse (a Strength, Conditioning, and Mobility Class). Since 2013 we've strived to perfect a system of personal training and group training. We rebranded in September 2014 to Urban Athletic Club as a way to communicate better our training values.
Specialties
What we offer: Functional, Athletic-Styled Training via Group Training, Personal Training and Monthly Gym Memberships. We have a 55' long turf floor with prowler sleds and battle ropes. Our weight area consists of 2 power racks with pullup bars, Olympic lifting weights, rings, and TRX suspension systems. Our signature class is called Urban Athlete: a multi-modal, comprehensive fitness class combining elements of High Intensity Interval Training, rowing, kettlebells, dumbbells, bodyweight, and speed/agility exercises. Our Ethos: We believe in training and teaching High Quality Movements. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. We foster Togetherness.
