Operational since 1953, The Henderson Mental Health Center is a private, nonprofit health care system that provides evidence-based behavioral health services to more than 20,000 people annually. It offers a range of residential options, including emergency shelter, longer-term assisted living, multilevel residential treatment facilities and supported independent living options. The center also provides psychosocial rehabilitation and supported employment programs. The Henderson Mental Health Center provides programs on topics related to substance abuse of children and adults. It additionally offers outpatient, family preservation and community-based services. The center provides diagnosis and treatment for several mental health disorders. In addition, it offers 24-hours crisis and case management and counseling services, as well as training on various mental health topics. The center is fully accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., The Henderson Mental Health Center employs a staff of over 600 professionals.
