History
The Sanborn Center is a City building that was built in 1969 and then completely renovated in 2014. The Sanborn Activity and Event Center, named after Wayne G. Sanborn, City Manager of DeLand from 1968-1973 and again from 1992-1999, is your premier corporate and social event venue in DeLand. Conveniently located off of I-4 in Earl Brown Park, named after Earl Brown who was the Mayor of DeLand from 1926-1933.

The Sanborn Activity and Event Center provides the ideal location for business meetings, weddings, receptions, banquets, parties and retreats. All of our rooms are divisible to make it just the perfect size for your event. We can accommodate smaller meetings of 1-50 attendees all the way up to larger events with theatre style seating for 750. Each room has a beautiful courtyard adjacent to it and our Grand Ballroom boasts a view of the fountain beyond the courtyard. The Sanborn Center's Grand Ballroom has a raised stage behind the wooden dance floor with 2 small backstage changing rooms, universal Wi-Fi, and AV equipment. Our large catering kitchen, beautiful, spacious ballroom, courtyards and open dance floor would be perfect to host your next event. Rentals are available to rent hourly or with block times. Additionally, the amphitheatre in the adjacent Earl Brown Park is available for rental as well. This is a perfect location for ceremonies, concerts, festivals, and more.
