World Precision Instruments is a global leader in TEER measurement and nitric oxide sensing products. The company manufactures more than 1,500 items, including data acquisition systems, digital cameras, glass capillaries, pre-pulled glass micropipettes, microsyringe pumps, fiber optic spectrometers, micromanipulators, electrodes, microdissecting instruments, adjustable pipetters and binocular microscopes. WPI began in 1967 as a small manufacturer of amplifiers and stimulators used in nerve, skin and muscle research. In 1990, the company moved from its original home in New Haven, Conn., to Sarasota, Fla. As worldwide demand for WPI products increased, offices were opened in London, Berlin, Tokyo and Melbourne.
