Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau
Established in 1985, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official sales and marketing organization for Greater Miami and its beaches. It provides complete vacation information of Greater Miami, including attractions, events, festivals, dining, shopping, clubs and accommodations. It is a private-public partnership with more than 1,000 private business members and four local governments: Miami-Dade, City of Miami Beach, City of Miami and the Village of Bal Harbour. Its publishing department publishes brochures, annual reports, invitations, postcards, posters and banners. The organization engages in a variety of cooperative advertising campaigns with several industry partners, such as tour operators, car rental companies, attractions, cultural institutions, airlines, cruise lines and credit card companies. Its Web site serves as a travel guide for visitors, meeting planners and travel professionals.
