Central Park Recreation Center sits on the edge of the 17-acre Central Park. The curvy brick building with yellow accents is operated by the city of Atlanta Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
The center offers a variety of programs, from youth football to adult aerobics, cheerleading, photography and hip hop dance. The center has a fitness room and computer lab, which are open Mon - Fri, from 3pm to 8pm and Sat, from 9am to 2pm. The facility closed in 2008 amid city of Atlanta budget cuts, but reopened in August 2010.
